Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée, a new vision of haute cuisine.
Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée has gone back to the basics for its tenth anniversary. According to Alain Ducasse: "We must go right back to the beginning again, where the true tastes are and let them express their strength and their delicacy.
"The technique here is to reveal the flavor of nature. I have always done my best to tell this simple and true story and today, I want to deliver its quintessence, at the Plaza Athénée." Since October, chef Christophe Saintagne has been interpreting a natural cuisine, which turns simple into good without any superfluous ingredients.
The rare table pieces, whether original creations by Pierre Tachon or precious Japanese craftsmanship Shinishiro Ogata, contribute to the restaurant's makeover. Haute couture for the interior decor: the four great screens are scattered with unique embroideries signed by Patrick Jouin.
